WHAT IS THE LOCAL INVOLVEMENT NETWORK(LINk)?

The Blackpool LINk (Local Involvement Network) has been established to help people get involved in how local care services are planned and run. By listening to what local residents, organisations and groups have to say, the LINk will help people influence the way their local health care services are delivered.

Blackpool LINk looks at all health and social care services that are funded by taxpayers, whether they’re provided by NHS Blackpool, Blackpool Council, a private company, social enterprise or charity. It won’t take over from groups already working in the area, but by listening to what a wide variety of groups and individuals say, it can feed views back to help improve services - in ways that will benefit everyone.

If you have experience or views about how local healthcare is currently delivered, please get involved. We believe that your views are important.

Fylde Coast Medical Services - are looking to start a patient/public forum to work alongside the operational team to produce meaningful work and a sounding board for service development.  They need 4 people, preferably from varying age groups to get a proportionate input.  People with a background in health or business are required as FCMS have a corporate and clinical governance remit alongside a financial one.  The first meeting will hopefully be in early September, then quarterly after that.  It is anticipated that the meetings will last for approx 2 hours.  If you would like to get involved please call the Blackpool LINk office on 01253 622222.
