Blackpool LINk is hosted by a leading local charity - Groundwork Lancashire West & Wigan
Groundwork Lancashire West & Wigan helps people and organisations make changes in order to create better neighbourhoods, to build skills and job prospects, and to live and work in a greener way.
The charity operates across the West of Lancashire from Lancaster, Blackpool and the Fylde Coast across to Preston and also down into Wigan. In partnership with Local Authorities Groundworks work on dozens of individual projects each year, focusing activity on disadvantaged communities where the most difference can be made.
Groundwork projects and services cover five broad themes:
- Community work, including health
- Improving open spaces
- Skills, training and employment
- Young peoples' development
- Greener living and working
